Student Services Representative

Weston Distance Learning seeks a Student Services Representative to work in our Fort Collins, Colorado office. In this position, you will be primarily taking phone calls from students who have questions about their account, course progress, or payments. You will also respond to students’ emailed questions, so excellent writing skills are needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to student concerns via phone, email or mail
  • Providing excellent customer service to students, providing step-by-step procedures to encourage course completion
  • Advising students of acceptable financial arrangements by explaining payment options
  • Maintaining accurate records and following procedures for purchased items, refunds, and incentive programs


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years customer service experience highly preferred, telephone customer service experience a plus
  • Requires the ability to maintain a pleasant, courteous attitude under adverse conditions
  • Excellent writing skills, including correct grammar and spelling
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
  • Requires the ability to multi-task and the ability to work independently
  • A minimum typing speed of 40 wpm a must
  • Basic math skills preferred, in order to compute student financial arrangements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential
  • Availability to work day time hours Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays
